The new Byre
Theatre is a busy, vibrant place offering visitors
a wide range of performances and events, an exhibition
space, conference facilities, two bars and a quality
café/restaurant.
At the heart of our programme are productions commissioned
and produced by the Byre Theatre and springing out of
that, a complementary mix of visiting professional and
local community productions. The content and style is
very varied and embraces drama, comedy, music, musical
theatre, dance, opera, variety and film.
One of the main advantages of the new building is that
there is much more on offer than ever before. With two
bars and a café/restaurant, the theatre is becoming
a hub of community life, an enjoyable place to meet
and a place offering a high quality programme of events
and entertainment.
The theatre is open to the public all day and has a
family friendly, informal environment.
